¨     Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully completed the qualification-level load test of the Gaganyaan drogue parachute.

¨     India's human space mission has achieved a significant milestone as the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully completed the qualification-level load test of the Gaganyaan drogue parachute.

¨     The test was conducted on February 18, 2026, at the Rail Track Rocket Sled (RTRS) facility of the Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL) in Chandigarh.

¨     This successful test validated the parachute's safety limits and further strengthened India's preparations for the Gaganyaan mission. Gaganyaan is the flagship program of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), aimed at sending Indian astronauts into space.
