Fatima Sana, captain of
the Pakistan women’s cricket team, created multiple records in Women’s T20
International (WT20I) cricket and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup during 2024 and
2026.

She became the first
captain in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup history to score a half-century and take
three wickets in the same match.

Against South Africa at
Edgbaston, Birmingham, on 17 June 2026, Fatima Sana scored 55 (not out)* and
claimed 3 wickets for 16 runs.

Despite her all-round
performance, Pakistan lost the match by two wickets in the ICC Women’s T20
World Cup 2026.

Hassan added 71 runs for the ninth wicket against South Africa.

This became the highest ninth-wicket
partnership in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup history.

On 16 May 2026, against
Zimbabwe in Karachi, Fatima Sana scored a 50 in just 15 balls, setting a new
record for the fastest fifty in Women’s T20 Internationals.
¨ She remained unbeaten on 62 runs off 19 balls in that innings.
