Gujarat Government Launches herSTART 5.0:
A Major Platform for Women Entrepreneurs
The Gujarat government has launched the herSTART 5.0
program, aimed at promoting women entrepreneurs and startups. The Gujarat
government has initiated a significant program titled ‘herSTART 5.0,’ designed
to strengthen women-led startups and entrepreneurship within the state. The
program was inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel at Gujarat University
in Ahmedabad. On this occasion, a new research park was also unveiled,
established with the specific objective of fostering innovation and
entrepreneurship in the region. The ‘herSTART 5.0 Gujarat’ program is
administered by the Gujarat University Startup and Entrepreneurship Council.
The program focuses on providing women entrepreneurs with incubation support,
mentorship, and market access.

Startup and Entrepreneurship Council.Research Park Inaugurated Alongside the
herSTART 5.0 Gujarat Launch.During the launch of herSTART 5.0 Gujarat, the
Chief Minister also inaugurated a new research park located within the Gujarat
University campus.
The organizers have described this
initiative as a "Development Triveni" (Triple Stream of Development)
that integrates:

This infrastructure is expected to provide support for
the growth of startups and technology-based enterprises.
Convention Center Named After Vidyagauri
Nilkanth
¨ The Chief Minister
announced that the Gujarat University Convention Center would be renamed
"Vidyagauri Nilkanth Sabhagruham." Vidya Gauri Nilkanth is recognized
as the first Gujarati woman graduate.
¨ This decision regarding the naming has been taken with the objective of honoring pioneering women in the field of education and inspiring future generations of women entrepreneurs.
¨ This step aligns with the government's commitment to promoting women's empowerment and leadership.
