the Innovation Roadmap 2030 and launched the Dialogue on Economic Security on
14 June 2026 in Nice, France.
¨ The initiatives were
announced during bilateral talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and
President Emmanuel Macron.
¨
The two countries
announced 13 key outcomes covering cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI),
startups, trade, education, and digital payments.
¨
The Innovation Roadmap
2030 provides a framework for cooperation in critical and emerging
technologies, AI, startups, and innovation ecosystems.
¨
India and France agreed
to establish a Joint India–France AI Working Group.
¨
The working group will
promote cooperation on AI development and global AI governance.
¨
The Dialogue on Economic
Security focuses on supply-chain resilience in critical minerals,
semiconductors, critical technologies, energy, and cybersecurity.
¨ A high-level mechanism
will be created to support the goal of doubling bilateral trade within five
years.
¨
Nineteen agreements were
signed between institutions from the innovation ecosystems of both countries.
¨ France has set a target of hosting 30,000 Indian students by 2030.
¨ Both countries reaffirmed cooperation on the mobility of students, researchers, and professionals.
