¨     India and Italy have exchanged a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2026–27.

¨     This marks a significant step towards strengthening defence cooperation between the two countries.

¨     The development followed talks between Rajnath Singh and Guido Crosetto.

¨     The high-level meeting was held in New Delhi.

¨     Discussions covered a wide range of regional and global issues, including the situation in West Asia.

¨     Both sides reaffirmed that India–Italy strategic ties are based on shared values such as peace, stability, freedom, and mutual respect.

¨     The objective was to expand cooperation in defence and security sectors.

¨     A structured military cooperation plan for 2026–27 was finalized.

¨     The plan includes joint military exercises, training programmes, and knowledge sharing.
