Bharat International Rice
Conference (BIRC) 2026 is the second edition of the event.
¨
The conference will be
held from 23 to 25 October 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
¨
The event is being
organised by the Indian Rice Exporters’ Federation (IREF), which represents
more than 8,000 rice exporters.
¨
BIRC serves as a major
trade platform for the rice sector, covering international rice trade, price
discovery, and supply-chain-related issues.
¨
The 2026 edition will
serve as a global forum for rice exporters, buyers, and industry stakeholders
from more than 120 countries.
¨
India is the world’s
largest rice exporter and exports more than 20 million metric tonnes of rice
annually.
¨
India exports rice to
more than 170 countries.
¨
Rice is one of India’s
major agricultural export commodities and is closely linked with the country’s
agricultural trade and food-security policy framework.
¨
BIRC 2026 is expected to
attract more than 30,000 delegates.
¨
As of 3 August 2026,
registrations had crossed 19,193, including 2,135 international buyers.
¨
The conference will feature
a coordinated global crop survey.
¨
It will also provide
future rice price projections based on global demand and supply trends.
