¨     India launched Asia’s first UNESCO Chair on Gender Inclusion and Skill Development in Pune.

¨     The Chair is established at Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU).

¨     It aims to bridge the gender gap in technical and vocational education.

¨     Focuses on empowering women in emerging economic sectors.

¨     Promotes equality in skill development and supports socio-economic progress.

¨     Positions India as a global leader in inclusive workforce transformation.

¨     Jayant Chaudhary inaugurated it on 24 April 2026.

¨     It was part of the international conference “Women Leading the Future of Work.

¨     Organized in collaboration with UNESCO.
