at the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in Tianjin, China.

India secured sixth place
in the overall medal standings at the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in
Tianjin.

Tejaswin Shankar won the
the Men’s heptathlon event and secured India's only gold medal at the
championships.

Shankar scored 5,993
points to create a new national indoor record.

He surpassed his previous
record of 5,650 points cretaed in US in 2021.

On the final day of the
championships, India won three more medals.
¨ Pooja won silver medal in the high jump. Tajinderpal Singh Toor secured silver medal in the shot put. Ancy Sojan won bronze medal in the long jump.
