India Wins 114 Medals at World Yogasana Championships

¨     India Tops Medal Table at Inaugural World Yogasana Championship 2026

¨  India hosted the inaugural World Yogasana Championship from 4–8 June 2026 at TransStadia in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

¨     The championship is an international sporting event for Competitive Yogasana, featuring standardized postures and routines.

¨     The first edition of the championship was held in Ahmedabad, a major sports and cultural hub in Gujarat.

¨     Athletes from 79 countries participated in the event.

¨     India finished first in the medal standings with a total of 114 medals.

¨     India’s medal tally included 102 gold medals.

¨     Japan secured second place with 3 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze medals.

¨     Argentina finished third in the overall medal table.

¨     Nabila Barraza of Argentina won 2 gold and 3 silver medals.

¨     Nepal won a total of 52 medals, including 1 gold, 36 silver, and 15 bronze medals.

¨     A total of 31 countries won at least one medal during the championship.
