¨     India won the gold medal in the women’s 4×100m relay at the Asian Relays Championships 2026 held in Shangyu, China on 21 June 2026.

¨     The Indian team included Srabani Nanda, Sneha SS, Sudeshna Shivankar, and Tamanna, who clocked a season-best time of 43.85 seconds.

¨     China won the silver medal with 44.09 seconds, while Thailand took bronze with 44.11 seconds.

¨     In the mixed 4×400m relay, India won the silver medal with a timing of 3:17.06. The team included MR Poovamma, Neeru Pathak, Theerthesh P Shetty, and Barath Sridhar.

¨     In the mixed 4×100m relay, India won the bronze medal with a timing of 41.47 seconds. The team included Animesh Kujur, Pranav Gurav, Tamanna, and Sneha Shanuvalli.

¨     Relay events are team-based track and field competitions where four athletes run equal distances and exchange a baton within designated exchange zones.

¨     The 4×100m relay and 4×400m relay are standard international athletics relay formats.

¨     Athletes Tamanna and Sneha Shanuvalli won two medals each at the championships.

India will host the 3rd Asian Relays Championships in Chandigarh in 2027.
