¨  Indian Army will host the first edition of the multilateral military exercise ‘Pragati’ at the Foreign Training Centre in Umroi, Meghalaya.

¨     Military delegations from 11 friendly countries will participate.

¨  Objective: to strengthen defence cooperation and improve operational coordination among regional armies.

¨   The initiative reflects India’s growing focus on regional security, strategic partnerships, and collective preparedness in the Indian Ocean Region.
