¨     Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced a temporary reduction in aviation charges.

¨     Landing and parking fees for domestic airlines will be lowered by 25 percent.

¨     This reduction will remain in effect for a period of three months.

¨   Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu said the goal is to make air travel more affordable.

¨     The decision comes during a time of global disruptions in aviation.

¨     Airlines are currently facing challenges such as rising fuel costs.

¨     Flight cancellations have also added to operational difficulties.

¨     The government wants to prevent these issues from severely affecting domestic carriers.

¨     The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India has been directed to implement the fee reduction. This applies to major airports under its control.

¨     The Airports Authority of India has also received similar instructions. It will apply reduced charges at the airports it manages.
