Ministry of Corporate Affairs has launched the Corporate Mitra Scheme 2026 for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises

¨     Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has launched the Corporate Mitra Scheme 2026 for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

¨     The scheme was announced in the Union Budget 2026–27.

¨     Its objective is to create trained paraprofessionals to support MSMEs in compliance, accounting, taxation, financial guidance, and corporate governance.

¨     The scheme is implemented in collaboration with IIT Madras, IIT Pravartak, SWAYAM Plus, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).

¨     A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to operationalise the scheme was signed on 25 June 2026.

¨     The training programme has a duration of 12 months.

¨     It includes around 150 hours of online academic learning through the SWAYAM Plus portal.

¨     Participants will also undergo six months of on-the-job training with professional firms.

¨     Eligibility: Applicants must be Indian citizens, below 30 years of age, and graduates or final-year undergraduate students.
