¨     NABARD launched Gramodyam on 13 July 2026 on the occasion of its 45th Foundation Day.

¨     Gramodyam is an entrepreneurship development programme for rural youth.

¨     The programme aims to create sustainable rural enterprises across India.

¨     Gramodyam is a three-year pilot programme.

¨     It targets around 4,000 rural entrepreneurs.

¨     The programme follows a digital-first hybrid delivery model.

¨     It will be implemented across all States and Union Territories.

¨     The programme is a joint initiative of NABARD and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

¨     NSDC functions under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

¨     The Institute for Industrial Development (IID) is responsible for implementing the programme.

¨     Participants will receive psychometric assessments and career counselling.

¨     The programme provides entrepreneurship development training.

¨     It also offers industry-specific skill training.

¨     Participants will receive mentoring and support for setting up enterprises.

¨     NABARD stands for National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.

¨     NABARD was established in 1982 as India's apex development bank for agriculture and rural development.

¨     The programme supports the objectives of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047 by promoting rural entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
