One Nation, One Digital Platform" initiative

¨     DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing) is India’s national digital platform for school education.

¨     It was launched in 2017.

¨     The platform is managed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) with support from the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET).

¨     As of 28 June 2026, the Government of India positioned DIKSHA as “One Nation, One Digital Platform” for school education.

¨     It provides curriculum-based digital learning resources from the Foundational Stage to Class 12.

¨     Nearly all State and Union Territory education boards use DIKSHA for school education content.

¨     The platform follows a federated model, allowing States and UTs to customize learning content according to their requirements.

¨     DIKSHA offers educational content in 36 Indian languages and 7 foreign languages.

¨     It includes QR-coded Energised Textbooks, educational videos, 2D & 3D animations, Augmented Reality (AR) content, Virtual Labs, and Indian Sign Language (ISL) videos.

¨     The platform supports teacher professional development through programmes such as NISHTHA.

¨     It provides self-paced online training and certification modules for teachers.

¨     DIKSHA promotes inclusive education through DAISY-formatted content, Text-to-Speech tools, and Indian Sign Language videos for differently-abled learners.

¨     It supports both online and offline access to learning resources.

¨     Users can download content, and schools can preload learning materials on smart classroom boards.

¨     This ensures continued access to digital learning resources even in areas with limited internet connectivity.
