• ¨     Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) received the PMIS Recognition of Partner Company Award on 14 August 2026.

    ¨     POWERGRID was recognised in the category of “Innovation in Exit Pathways.”

    ¨     The award ceremony was organised by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

    ¨     The Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) was launched in December 2024 to provide youth with opportunities to gain industry exposure and practical experience.

    ¨     POWERGRID participated in PMIS as a pan-India partner company and offered 6,265 internship opportunities during Pilot Rounds 1 and 2 between December 2024 and December 2025.

    ¨     The award recognised POWERGRID’s initiative of uploading the training details of all PMIS interns on the Rozgaar Portal.

    ¨     The Rozgaar Portal, operated by the Power Sector Skill Council (PSSC), facilitates skill-based placement and employment opportunities in the power sector.

    ¨     The award was presented by Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

    ¨     The award was received on behalf of POWERGRID by Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel) and B. K. Mundu, Executive Director, Human Resource Development.

    Senior officials including Additional Secretary Anshuman Patnaik and Joint Secretary D. Balamurugan also attended the ceremony
