S Rohith Krishna became India’s 89th
Grandmaster in August.

He scored six points out of nine at the
Almaty Masters Qonaev Cup in Kazakhstan and crossed the 2500 Elo rating mark.

The Grandmaster title is awarded by FIDE.
It is the highest honour in chess.
