Indian-origin technology executive, died at the age of 59.

He joined Microsoft in
1989 and worked there for 27 years.
¨
Later, he served as
managing director at Madrona Venture Group.
¨
He worked on major
Microsoft products including Windows NT, Visual Studio, and .NET.
¨
In 1998, he founded the
Microsoft India Development Center in Hyderabad.
¨
The centre later became
one of Microsoft’s largest engineering hubs outside the United States.
¨
In January 2017, he
became managing director at Madrona Venture Group.
¨ His investment focus
included cloud infrastructure, developer tools, and artificial intelligence.
¨
He backed companies such
as Snowflake and UiPath.
