‘School Chalen Hum’ campaign launched to boost enrollment in Madhya
Pradesh.
¨ The ‘School Chalen Hum’ campaign has been launched by Mohan Yadav from
Bhopal to promote universal school enrollment and quality education.
¨ The campaign has been conducted over four days from April 1 to April 4,
aiming to ensure that every child attends school.
¨ The initiative has targeted over 55 districts and more than 50,000
villages across the state to bring children into classrooms.
¨ More than 5.6 crore textbooks, workbooks, and bridge courses have been
distributed to support learning under the programme.
¨
A significant increase of 19.6% in overall school enrollment for the
academic year 2025–26 has been recorded.
¨ Government schools have witnessed an even higher growth of 32.4%,
indicating rising public trust in public education institutions.
¨
A zero dropout rate at the primary level has been achieved through
collective efforts of teachers, parents, and the education department.
¨
Around 5.5 million students have been provided with uniforms, along with
bicycles and financial assistance to support education.
¨ Nearly 1.94 lakh meritorious students scoring 75% or above have been
provided laptops, while ₹250 crore has been allocated for rewarding toppers
with scooters.
¨ The campaign has been aligned with the National Education Policy 2020
and aims to achieve an ambitious enrollment target of 1.45 crore students while
strengthening the education ecosystem.
