titled Defence Forces Vision 2047: A Roadmap for a Future-Ready Indian Military
in New Delhi to transform the Indian Armed Forces into a modern, integrated and
technologically advanced military by 2047.The document has been prepared by the
Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff as a comprehensive roadmap for the
long-term transformation of the Indian Armed Forces.The vision document outlines
key strategic reforms, capability enhancements and organisational changes
required to address the evolving geopolitical, technological and security
environment.The roadmap aligns military modernisation with India’s broader
national goal of becoming a developed nation by the centenary of independence
in 2047.
