Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched Project GANGA (Government Assisted Network for Growth and Advancement) in Lucknow

¨Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched Project GANGA (Government Assisted Network for Growth and Advancement) in Lucknow on 9 June 2026.

¨   The project aims to provide fibre-based broadband connectivity to rural households across Uttar Pradesh.

¨     It targets around 20 lakh families for high-speed internet access and participation in the digital economy.

¨     The first phase will be implemented in 21 districts of the state.

¨   Subsequently, the project will be expanded to all 57,000 Gram Panchayats and 8,000 Nyaya Panchayats in Uttar Pradesh.

¨  OneOTT Intertainment Limited is associated with the project as a Knowledge Partner and Implementation Enabler.

¨     The company will support the project on a no-profit, no-loss basis.

¨     The initiative is expected to generate more than one lakh direct and indirect jobs.

¨     It also aims to develop 8,000–10,000 Digital Service Providers (DSPs) across the state.

¨  Key services under Project GANGA include digital education, telemedicine, e-governance, online skill training, public Wi-Fi, cybersecurity, smart agriculture, and IT-based employment.

¨  The project is designed to strengthen rural digital infrastructure through fibre broadband networks and improved digital service delivery.
