Symposium 2026 is being held from 4–6 May 2026.

The event is taking place
in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

It was inaugurated by
Rajnath Singh on 4 May 2026.
¨
It is a three-day event
focused on discussions around emerging defence technologies and innovations.
¨
The symposium is jointly organized
by the Northern and Central Commands of the Indian Army along with Society of
Indian Defence Manufacturers.
¨
The aim is to enhance
coordination between the military, industry, and technology experts, and to
promote indigenous defence solutions.
Theme and Participation
¨
The theme of the
symposium is “Raksha Triveni Sangam – Where Technology, Industry &
Soldiering Converge”.
¨
A total of 284 companies
are participating, including MSMEs, private defence technology firms,
start-ups, and uniformed innovators.
¨
The event includes
technology displays, problem statements, and interaction between military users
and developers.
Defence Innovation and Procurement
¨ The symposium focuses on
field-ready technologies, maintenance systems, and procurement processes for
the Indian Army.
¨ It also aims to connect operational requirements with technological solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, drones, and surveillance systems.
¨ A Compendium of Problem Definition Statements was released at a Curtain Raiser event on 25 March 2026 in New Delhi.
