Vidarbha won the Vijay Hazare Trophy title for the first time

¨     Vidarbha’s maiden Vijay Hazare Trophy (2025-26) title was secured with a 38-run victory over Saurashtra at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.

¨     A commanding target of 318 runs was set after a century by Atharva Taide.
¨     Saurashtra was restricted to 279 runs despite a strong middle-order effort.
¨     Atharva Taide scored 128 runs, registering his first century of the tournament in the final.
¨     The first edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, also known as the Ranji One-Day Trophy, was held in 2002-03.
¨     Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have been the most successful teams, having won the title five times each.
¨     Last year, Karnataka won the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25.
