¨     Wang Jibing, a food delivery rider and poet from Jiangsu province, won the poetry category of China’s prestigious Lu Xun Literary Prize.

¨     He received the award for his poetry collection “Low Flight”.

¨     The ninth edition of the Lu Xun Literary Prize recognised 35 works across seven categories.

¨     The Lu Xun Literary Prize was established in 1996 in memory of the Chinese writer Lu Xun.

¨     It is one of China’s major literary awards and is presented every four years.

¨     The prize recognises various literary forms, including poetry, fiction, essays, and literary criticism.

¨     Lu Xun was a leading figure in modern Chinese literature and social criticism.

¨     Wang Jibing started working as a food delivery rider in Kunshan city in 2019.

¨     His poetry collection “Low Flight”, published in 2024, is based on his own work experiences and interviews with around 200 delivery riders.

¨     His poem “Man in a Hurry” became widely popular online in 2022.

¨     His first poetry collection, “Man in a Hurry: Poems of a Food Delivery Rider”, was published in 2023.
