Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority will establish a Basmati and Organic Training Center, along with a demonstration farm, in the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh

¨     Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) will establish a Basmati and Organic Training Centre along with a demonstration farm in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh.

¨     The project is being developed after the transfer of 7 acres of government agricultural land in Tanda Bijesi village.

¨     It involves an estimated investment of around ₹15 crore.

Key objectives of the centre

¨     Training farmers in high-quality Basmati rice cultivation

¨     Promoting organic farming practices

¨     Improving knowledge of seed production and export standards

¨     Enhancing export readiness and opportunities for farmers

The initiative is expected to benefit farmers not only in Pilibhit but also in neighbouring districts and states.The project will be implemented by the Public Works Department (PWD) and is expected to be completed within one year.
