¨     The agreements were aimed at facilitating the replication and adoption of India’s DPI platforms developed under the India Stack framework.
¨     Collaboration was focused on digital identity systems, digital payments, data exchange mechanisms, and service delivery platforms.
¨     The initiative was described by the government as part of India’s broader DPI diplomacy, promoting inclusive, scalable and interoperable digital solutions.
¨     India’s flagship digital payments platform, Unified Payments Interface, has been made operational in more than eight countries including the UAE, Singapore, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
¨     The international rollout of UPI has been stated to support cross-border remittances, improve financial inclusion, and strengthen India’s global fintech standing.
¨     Additionally, separate MoUs were signed with Cuba, Kenya, the UAE and Lao PDR for cooperation on DigiLocker, India’s digital document storage and verification platform.
¨     India’s digital governance achievements have been showcased globally through the India Stack Global portal, which offers access to 18 key digital platforms.
¨     The Global DPI Repository, launched during India’s G20 Presidency in 2023, has emerged as a global knowledge platform with India contributing the highest number of DPI solutions.
Countries partnering with India under DPI cooperation include Sri Lanka, Brazil, Ethiopia, Jamaica, Maldives and Mongolia, reflecting wide international acceptance of India’s digital model
