the 5th round of Foreign Office Consultations in Dushanbe.
¨ These discussions were
co-chaired by Ambassador Sibi George, Secretary (West), and Tajikistan's Deputy
Foreign Minister, Idibek Kalandar.

Both sides reviewed the
overall progress of bilateral relations across various sectors.
¨
Key areas reviewed included
political relations, as well as defense and security cooperation.
¨
Trade, economic
engagement, and cultural exchanges were also part of this review.
¨
Education and consular
matters were also discussed during the consultations.

Both countries explored
avenues for cooperation across various multilateral forums.
¨
They also shared their
views on significant regional and global developments.

During his visit, Sibi
George met with Tajikistan's Foreign Minister, Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

The primary objective of this
meeting was to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Both sides discussed
expanding the scope of their bilateral engagement.
¨ Sibi George also interacted with members of the Indian community residing in Dushanbe.
¨ He appreciated the role played by the Indian community in enhancing relations between the two countries.
