developed under the Project 17A stealth frigate program.

emphasized the importance of maritime power for India's long-term development
goals.

He stated that
approximately 95 percent of India's trade is conducted via maritime routes.

The ship has a displacement
of approximately 6,670 tons.

It is equipped with
modern weaponry and advanced stealth technology.

More than 75 percent of
its components are indigenously manufactured.

progress achieved in the field of self-reliant defence manufacturing.
