National Statistical Office has launched its first annual survey focused on enterprises within the incorporated services sector

¨  National Statistical Office has launched its first annual survey focused on enterprises within the incorporated services sector.

¨    This survey is being conducted under the aegis of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.

¨     It covers businesses across all states and Union Territories of India.

¨   The process commenced in April, with the objective of creating a comprehensive database for the services sector.

¨     The reference period for data collection is the financial year 2024-25.

¨     More than 1.21 lakh companies are expected to be covered under this survey.

¨   The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) database is being utilized as the sampling framework.

¨  The initiative aims to enhance the availability and quality of data pertaining to incorporated service enterprises.

¨     An explanatory guide titled "Know Your Survey: A User Guide to the Annual Survey of Incorporated Services Sector Enterprises" has been released.

¨   This guide has been designed to facilitate users' understanding of the survey's methodology.

¨   It also seeks to foster greater transparency and public participation in the survey process.
