According to the Election Commission of India, the 16th National Voters'
Day will be celebrated in the district on January 25. This year, the theme for
National Voters' Day 2026 is "My India, My Vote."
¨ The main district-level program will be held
at Samrat Ashok Bhawan, Khagra, Kishanganj. Voters present at the main ceremony
will be administered the voter's pledge, and the message of the Chief Election
Commissioner will be broadcast and played.
¨
A awareness rally will also be organized on the occasion of National
Voters' Day, which will start from the Collectorate premises and proceed via
the bus stand to Samrat Ashok Bhawan. The main program will commence after the
rally. NCC cadets, Scouts, and students from various schools will participate
in this awareness rally.
Importance
of National Voters' Day

Encouraging Youth Participation: The primary objective of NVD is to
enroll and empower young voters who have recently turned 18. During NVD
celebrations, new voters are felicitated and provided with their Voter Photo
Identity Cards (EPIC).
