¨     Pakistan has decided to issue a special 75-rupee commemorative coin to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations with China.

¨     The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced that the coin will be available to the public from 25 May 2026.

¨     The coin will be distributed through exchange counters at regional offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation.

¨     Pakistan and China established diplomatic relations on 21 May 1951.

¨     The two countries are often described as strategic partners in South Asia and East Asia.

¨     Their bilateral relations cover diplomacy, trade, defence, and infrastructure cooperation.

The commemorative coin is circular in shape and made of copper-nickel alloy.

Coin specifications include:

¨     75% copper

¨     25% nickel

¨     36 mm diameter

¨     19 grams weight

The reverse side of the coin features the national flags of Pakistan and China.

The coin carries inscriptions in English, Urdu, and Chinese:

¨     “75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations of Pakistan and China”

¨     “Trust, Friendship, Support”

¨   The State Bank of Pakistan is the central bank of Pakistan responsible for currency issuance.

¨     Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit China from 23 to 26 May 2026.

¨  The visit coincides with events marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
