¨     President Droupadi Murmu of India recently arrived in Luanda, the capital of Angola. This visit is particularly historic as it marks the first-ever official visit by an Indian Head of State to Angola.

¨     The main objective of this visit is to strengthen bilateral relations between India and Angola and to enhance cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, energy, education, and defense.

¨     There are vast opportunities for collaboration between the two nations, particularly in the energy sector, agriculture, and the pharmaceutical industry.

¨     President Murmu was warmly welcomed by Angolan President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço.
