official visit to India from March 4 to 7, 2026. Following high-level talks
with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the two countries elevated their bilateral
relations to the level of a "Strategic Partnership in Digitalization and
Sustainability."

ecosystems.

Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed:

Partnership Agreement: (for skilled workers, students, and professionals). •
Environmental Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding. Cooperation in Official
Statistics.

Trade and Economic
Cooperation: Both sides have set a target to double bilateral trade by 2030,
leveraging the opportunities presented by the India-EU Free Trade Agreement
(India-EU FTA) negotiations. Business engagement through the India-Finland
Business Summit held in Mumbai. Cooperation in the startup ecosystem through
initiatives such as the India-Finland Startup Corridor, including participation
in Slush (Helsinki) and Startup Mahakumbh (New Delhi).
