¨     The Stockholm Water Prize is also referred to as the "Nobel Prize of Water." This award is bestowed upon individuals for their outstanding contributions to water conservation, management, and research.

A Journey from Struggle to Success

¨     Kaveh Madani's journey has been fraught with challenges. In 2017, he returned to Iran to work on water management reforms; however, due to political opposition, he faced accusations and interrogations.

¨     He was even labeled a "water terrorist," and in 2018, he was compelled to leave the country. Despite these adversities, he continued his work on a global stage.
