¨ He has been honoured for his contributions to huanitarian
service, reconciliation and peace-building.
¨ World Leader for Peace and Security Award was started in
2015.
¨ It honours world leaders who promote moral courage,
ei=thical governance and compassion in global affairs.
¨ Shinzo Abe, Angela Merkel, Ban Ki-moon, Sauli Niinisto,
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Emmanuel Macron are past recipients of this award.
¨ The award recognises Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's mediation and
peace initiatives in regions facing conflicts such as Colombia, Iraq, Sri
Lanka, Myanmar, Venezuela and Kashmir.
