Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) suspended the nutraceutical licence of Dior Pharmaceuticals

¨     Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) suspended the nutraceutical licence of Dior Pharmaceuticals on 30 July 2026.

¨     The action followed the detection of serious regulatory violations and deficient Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at the company's nutraceutical plant in Punjab.

¨     FSSAI is a statutory body established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

¨     It is responsible for regulating food safety, including nutraceuticals in India.

¨     Nutraceuticals are products derived from food sources and consumed as dietary supplements or functional foods.

¨     Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are standards covering hygiene, sanitation, equipment maintenance, storage, and personnel practices in food and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

¨     The inspection identified non-compliance related to infrastructure, sanitation, pest control, storage practices, and personnel hygiene.

¨     FSSAI stated that the company failed to ensure the safety, quality, and traceability of its food products.

¨     The regulator directed the company to immediately stop all manufacturing activities at the facility until full compliance is achieved and verified.
