Government of Gujarat is
scheduled to unveil Industrial Policy-2026 on 15 June 2026 at Mahatma Mandir,
Gandhinagar.
¨
The policy will be
launched by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh
Sanghavi.
¨
The policy focuses on
industrial investment, employment generation, innovation, and sector-specific
incentives.
¨
It introduces an Ultra
Mega Industrial Unit category.
¨
To qualify under this
category, a unit must invest at least ₹10,000 crore and create a minimum of
3,000 jobs in designated thrust sectors.
¨
Eligible units may
receive incentives of up to 40% of capital investment.
¨
The incentives include
capital subsidies, interest subsidies, and power tariff support.
¨
The number of thrust
sectors has been increased from 9 to 16.
Newly added thrust sectors include:
¨
Ancillary units for
semiconductor industries
¨
Textile waste recycling
industries
¨
Nuclear power equipment
manufacturing
¨
Drone manufacturing
Thrust sectors are priority industries selected for
targeted incentives and infrastructure support.
