India to Host Fourth India-Africa Forum
Summit in New Delhi in May 2026

India will host the
Fourth India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-IV) from 28 to 31 May 2026.
¨
The summit will be held
in New Delhi.
¨
It will be organised in
collaboration with the African Union Commission.
¨
Leaders and
representatives from African countries will participate in the summit.
¨
The India-Africa Forum Summit
serves as a major diplomatic platform between India and African nations.
¨
The previous India-Africa
Forum Summit was held in 2015.
¨
IAFS-IV marks the return
of the platform after more than a decade.
¨
The theme of the summit
is “IA Spirit: Strategic Partnership for Innovation, Resilience and Inclusive
Transformation.”
¨
A Senior Officials’
Meeting will be held on 28 May 2026.
¨
The India-Africa Foreign
Ministers’ Meeting will take place on 29 May 2026.
¨
Trade and investment are
key agenda areas of the summit.
¨
Discussions will also
focus on digital transformation and sustainable development.
¨
Inclusive economic growth
has been identified as a major area of cooperation.
¨
Agriculture, healthcare,
and education sectors will receive special attention.
¨
Climate change
cooperation is also part of the summit agenda.
¨
Discussions will cover
defence and space technology collaboration.
¨
Energy and critical
minerals are included among the focus sectors.
¨ A roadmap for future cooperation is expected to be released during the summit.
¨ India’s Vision 2047 is expected to be aligned with Africa’s Agenda 2063 through the partnership framework.
