¨ Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and GoodWorks Group signed an MoU to accelerate the growth of Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in Karnataka.
¨ The agreement was signed on 6 August 2026.
¨ The partnership aims to attract more than ₹5,000 crore in fresh GCC investments in Karnataka.
¨ It targets the establishment of 50 new GCCs in the state.
¨ The partnership is expected to generate more than 62,500 direct and indirect jobs.
¨ It is projected to create around ₹2,250 crore in annual salaries.
¨ The initiative is expected to absorb around 1.25 million square feet of commercial real estate.
¨ Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are offshore units established by multinational corporations to manage functions such as technology, finance, research, analytics, and operations.
¨ India has emerged as a major GCC destination due to its skilled workforce, digital infrastructure, and strong technology ecosystem.
¨ Bengaluru is a major hub for information technology, start-ups, and multinational corporate operations.
¨ Karnataka has a large pool of engineering talent, software service companies, and innovation-driven enterprises, supporting the expansion of GCCs.
¨ GoodWorks Group will use its Sansovi GCC-as-a-Service platform to help multinational corporations establish and scale their operations in India.
¨ The MoU also includes outreach to investors and companies in North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East.
