¨     Murali Sreeshankar claimed the men's long jump title at the 2026 Indian Athletics Series with a leap of 8.15 meters.

¨     The men’s long jump title was secured by Murali Sreeshankar with a best effort of 8.15 metres at the Indian Athletics Series 2026 held in Bengaluru.

¨     A strong start to the season was recorded as the victory was achieved at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium during the opening meet.

¨   The best jump was produced on the fourth attempt, which proved decisive in ensuring his top position in the event.

¨     It was observed that he remained the only athlete in the field to cross the 8.00 metre mark during the competition.

¨  The Asian Games qualifying standard of 7.91 metres was also surpassed, strengthening his prospects for international events.

¨    In the men’s triple jump, first place was secured by Abdulla Aboobacker with a jump of 16.82 metres.

¨     The men’s high jump event was won by Sarvesh Kushare with a clearance of 2.23 metres.

¨ In women’s events, impressive performances were delivered, with Ancy Sojan narrowly defeating Shaili Singh by two centimetres.

¨    In the men's javelin throw event, Bibin Antony emerged victorious with a best throw of 77.53 meters.
