Murali Sreeshankar clinched long jump title at Indian Athletics Series

¨ The men’s long jump title at the Indian Athletics Series 2026 was
secured by Murali Sreeshankar with a best jump of 8.15 metres in Bengaluru.
¨ The achievement was marked by Sreeshankar being the only competitor to
cross the 8.00 metre mark during the event.
¨ The Asian Games qualifying standard of 7.91 metres was also surpassed,
reinforcing his competitive readiness.

In the men’s triple jump, first place was secured by Abdulla Aboobacker
with a leap of 16.82 metres.

The men’s high jump event was won by Sarvesh Kushare with a clearance of
2.23 metres.
¨ In women’s events, strong performances were delivered, including
Baranica Elangovan in pole vault and Ancy Sojan winning long jump by a narrow margin.
