Dr. Ashutosh Parida has been selected for the 47th Sarala Puraskar for his poetry collection ‘Bishwas De Pruthwi’

¨     Dr. Ashutosh Parida has been selected for the 47th Sarala Puraskar for his poetry collection ‘Bishwas De Pruthwi’.

¨     Dr. Parida is an Odia poet, essayist and former scientist at CSIR-IMMT.

¨     The Sarala Puraskar is a prominent literary award associated with Odia literature.

¨     The award is presented by the Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT).

¨     IMPaCT is the charitable arm of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA).

¨     The award carries a citation, copper plaque and cash prize of ₹7 lakh.

¨     The award ceremony will be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

¨     ‘Bishwas De Pruthwi’ was published by Prabha Publication in 2024.

¨     The book was selected from a final shortlist of seven books prepared in 2026.

¨     The shortlist included works by Aparna Mohanty, Padmaja Pal and Archana Nayak, among others.

¨     IMPaCT also announced the 2026 Ila-Bansidhar Panda Kala Samman.

¨     The award recognises lifetime excellence in the field of arts.

¨     The recipients are Odissi maestro Guru Durga Charan Ranbir and sculptor Damodar Behera.

¨     Each Kala Samman recipient will receive a citation, copper plaque and ₹2.5 lakh cash prize.
